Sir Michael Caine is the greatest English actor, producer, and author known for his Cockney accent and versatility in numerous leading and character roles. He performed in more than 130 films during a career spanning over 6 decades. He is a living legend and often regarded as a British film icon. The films in which Caine, has appeared in have grossed over $7.8 billion worldwide. Before the acting career, Caine has served in the British Army’s Royal Fusiliers.

He was born and grew up in South London and during World War II, he was evacuated along with his family during the Blitz. Before landing into his career-changing role of an upper-class officer in blockbuster movie ‘Zulu’ in 1964, Caine worked in stage and theaters. By the 1970s, he had achieved international stardom. Caine has won two Oscar awards and six nominations in his career. He is one of only two actors nominated for an Academy Award for acting in every decade from the 1960s to 2000s.

Michael Caine has been married twice. Caine married his first wife, actress Patricia Haines in 1955. They had a daughter, Dominique, and the couple divorced after seven years. He also dated Bianca Jagger in 1968. In 1973, Caine married actress and model Shakira Baksh. He also wrote several best-selling books that are considered as an invaluable resource for actors.
