Faye Dunaway is an actress known for her elegant beauty and playing complex roles in her acting career. Initially, she wanted to become a teacher, but she switched to acting. Dunaway learned dancing, piano and singing lessons while graduating from high school.
Acting career
She started her acting career with the stage in Robert Bolt’s drama ‘A Man for All Seasons’. Dunaway made her screen debut with the movie ‘The Happening’ in 1967 and became famous for her portal of outlaw Bonnie Parker in ‘Bonnie and Clyde’. She followed this success with another hit next year, ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’. Throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s she appeared in a string of good if unremarkable films and won several awards for her outstanding performance. She continued her journey and still making her name in TV shows and movies.
Faye Dunaway’s relationships and marriages
Faye Dunaway had a relationship with stand-up comedian, Lenny Bruce, Robert Altman and Marcello Mastroianni. She was engaged to photographer Jerry Schatzberg from 1967 to 1968. Dunaway has been married twice, first to the singer, Peter Wolf from 1974 to 1979. Her second marriage was to British Photographer, Terry O’Neil from 1983 to 1987. After the divorce from her second husband, she dated English author Frederick Forsyth and Warren Lieberfarb. In 1995, she published her autobiography titled “Looking for Gatsby: My Life”.
