‘The Last Time I Saw Paris’ is a 1954 romantic drama film. The film was directed by Richard Brooks, produced by Jack Cummings, and filmed in Paris and on MGM’s backlot. Elizabeth Taylor and Van Johnson starred Walter Pidgeon, Donna Reed, Eva Gabor, Kurt Kasznar, George Dolenz, Sandy Descher, Odette, and the then-unknown Roger Moore in his Hollywood debut. When the film was made, the film’s title song, written by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II, was already a classic.
This movie gets everything right. It’s highly entertaining, dramatic, and entertaining, and the acting is excellent, as well as the direction. Upon its release, Variety described the film as an “engrossing romantic drama.”.
