Texas in 1970s: 50+ Color Photos That Show Everyday Life In Texas In 1970s

Texas is the second biggest and most populous state of America. In the 20th century, Texas suffered the deadliest disaster during the Galveston hurricane. Beginning around the 1950s, Texas began to transform from a rural and agricultural state to one urban and industrialized. The population grew quickly because a lot of people migrated from outside the state. Texas experienced strong economic growth, particularly during the 1970s and 1980s; these historic photographs show what Texas looked like in the 1970s. The pictures captured industrialized waterfronts, Corpus Christi, ranch workers, beaches of Texas, and many more.
