The British magazine Picture Post sent photographer Charles Hewitt to captivate the surreal personality of Salvador Dalí in his photographs in 1955. Salvador was a Spanish surrealist artist with famous draftsmanship and striking and bizarre images in his work. He never missed an opportunity to shock his audience with his otherworldly skills. Hewitt ended up titling the photoshoot simply as “One day with Salvador Dalí”.
Dalí was with his wife in his bohemian house where he lived and worked in this house starting in 1930 until his last day. Since then, the house has become a museum, and everything kept just as it was when the couple lived there, complete with its phallic-shaped swimming pool and yellow Sempervivum adornments, Gala’s favorite flowers.
