Around Michigan in the Late 1970s Through the Lens of Don Hudson

In the late seventies, Don Hudson, a Michigan-based amateur photographer in South Lyon, took these pictures from Detroit to Whitmore Lake.

After studying at the University of Michigan for three years, Hudson decided to get serious about his love of photography and enrolled at the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts.

It was there that I began to study the history of photography and look seriously at the major practitioners of the game.
