She started her modeling career at the age of sixteen with Vogue magazine. She was one of the highest-paid models in the world during the 1960s. Marisa Berenson was married twice and had a daughter. Her first husband was James Randall, a rivet manufacturer. They married in 1976 and divorced two years later. In 1982, she married her second husband, Aaron Richard Golub, which lasted for five years.
Marisa’s younger sister and sole sibling, Berinthia “Berry” Perkins, was killed in the 9/11 attacks. She was on a plane flying from Paris to New York during the terrorist attacks. In an interview with CBS, she described the ordeal and how she arrived in Newfoundland (flights were diverted to Canada) hours later and learned of her sister’s death from her daughter over the phone.
