Rare Photos of Pregnant Marilyn Monroe in 1960

Monroe had wanted to become a mother more than anything in the world, but her dream wasn’t fulfilled. Before losing this child, she went through three miscarriages, all of which were public.

Monroe’s friend Frieda Hull took these pictures on July 8, 1960, outside Fox Studios in New York after she had finished the costume and hair tests for her film The Misfits, starring Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift.

Frieda Hull was Monroe’s close friend, and she told her that Yves Montand, her co-star on ‘Let’s Make Love’, was the father of the child, not Arthur Miller, who was her husband at the time.
