Mallorca, also known as Majorca, is the crown jewel of Spain’s Balearic Islands. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. The Balearic Islands have been an autonomous region of Spain since 1983. The capital of the island, Palma, is also the capital of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands.

Mallorca is famous for its stunning coastline, secluded coves, limestone mountains, Spanish architecture, wineries and fresh produce farms, and beautiful beaches. These stunning historical photos capture everyday life in Mallorca in the mid-1950s.

These are some fantastic photos. The man in the tree harvesting almonds reminded me of my almond farm here in Mallorca. Don’t do it from the outside, do it from the inside!
