Linda Christian: Capturing the Beauty of the First Bond Girl in Stunning 1945 Portraits

In 1945, photographer Bob Landry captured a series of striking portraits of Linda Christian. These black and white photos showcase her beauty. They offer a glimpse into early Hollywood glamour. Christian would later become known as the first Bond girl. But these photos were taken before that role.

Linda Christian was born in Mexico. She appeared in both Mexican and Hollywood films.  Her career was at its height in the 1940s and 1950s. She was known for her exotic looks. She had a captivating screen presence. She starred in “Tarzan and the Mermaids.”

These portraits were taken before Christian’s role in the 1954 TV adaptation of “Casino Royale.” This was a James Bond story. In this production, she played the character Valerie Mathis. This made her the first Bond girl. The photos hint at the star power she would later display.
