Hue was a famous monthly celebrity and gossip magazine by Johnson Publishing during the 1950s and the early 1960s. The Johnson Publishing company also published several other magazines, including ‘Jet’ and ‘Ebony.’ Like Jet, Hue was digest-sized. Still, it had full-color covers and a back cover that often-featured aspiring actresses and models. With the exception of the occasional male star, covers tended to feature a mix of celebrities and models.
