Historical Photos Of Houses Moving In Los Angeles From The Past

After years of struggle and advocacy, movable houses and ADUs are now legal in Los Angeles. The Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) ordinance permits Movable Tiny Houses as permissible and permanently habitable ADUs. Approximately one thousand houses are moved each year in the Los Angeles area alone.

All over Southern California, there are opportunities to buy houses for the moving… houses that stand in the way of such building projects like shopping centers, apartment buildings, parking lots, filling stations, churches, government construction, and road projects. Here below are some historical photos that show people moving their houses in Los Angeles City From the mid-20th century.
