Her Wedding Night is a 1930 American comedy film starring Clara Bow, Ralph Forbes, Charlie Ruggles, Richard “Skeets” Gallagher, Geneva Mitchell, and Rosita Moreno. The script was written by Henry Myers and Avery Hopwood and directed by Frank Tuttle. Paramount Pictures released the film on September 18, 1930. In addition to the English version, Paramount remade the film at its Joinville Studios in Paris in several other languages, including the French version called ‘Let’s Get Married.’
Clara, a movie star, misses her train while Skeets Gallagher (Ralph Forbes) is masquerading as his friend, a famous composer (Skeets Gallagher). Clara and her new husband end up getting married because they don’t speak the language. Rather than fixing the situation immediately, they go along, even though he has a harem of women waiting for him. Charlie Ruggles is a friend who wants to take a nap. There’s a well-timed bedroom farce with slamming doors and hidden guests at the end.
