Rare Historical Photos of Grosse Ile, Michigan From 1900s

Grosse Ile is the largest and most populated island in Michigan. The island was first given to the early French explorers by the Potawatomi in 1776. The island itself is divided by two canals. The area on the north, known as Hennepin Point, is undeveloped and the site of an historic lighthouse.
