Fabulous Vintage Photos Show What Denmark Looked Like in the 1960s

Denmark is one of the oldest nations in Northern Europe made up of the Jutland Peninsula and numerous islands in the Western Sea. Since its early prehistoric history, Denmark has been inhabited by the Danes. Major industries are iron, steel, chemicals, food processing, textiles, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.

Here below are some stunning vintage photos that show what Denmark looked like in the 1960s. The 1960s was the era of rapid development and prosperity for Denmark. Danish agriculture became highly mechanized and the industries expanded. The Social Democratic Party was in power until 1968. In the 1968 election, the majority shifted to the right.
