WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. Anyone can see this is not a Civil War era cannon or gun. It is a gun from the Spanish battleship Almirante Oquendo destroyed by the US Navy at the Battle of Santiago Bay, Cuba 7/3/1898, Spanish-Am War. Get ur facts straight.
The Oquendo gun was given to Cin at the behest of Senator Joseph Benson Foraker. It arrived in Cin in 1899, to much fanfare. Sat on Fountain Sq for a while, then moved to Mt Adams, in front of the Playhouse. The base is still there. Was scrapped WW2
