The term medium format has historically been used to refer to film formats in still photography and cameras and equipment that use film. Photographs are captured with film or digital cameras on media larger than 24 by 36 mm (full-frame) (used in 35 mm photography) but smaller than 4 by 5 inches (which is considered large-format photography).
British Photographer Martin Snelling took these fabulous medium format color photos. These photographs document everyday life in Switzerland’s villages as Wengen and Grindlewald in the winter of 1959.
