Anouk Aimée is a French actress and an icon of stunning beauty. She started her film career when she was 14 years old and has since starred in over 70 films. Anouk Aimée has received several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Actress, an honorary César Award, and a national film award in France. Her films were primarily French, but she also made films in Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and some American productions. Acting Career

Aimée made her film debut, at the age of fourteen, in the movie ‘La Maison sous la mer (1946)’. Her skill as an actress and her face’s photogenic qualities, “fine lines, expressive enjoyment, and an inspiring look,” helped make her early films a success. In ‘Fellini’s La Dolce Vita (1960)’ and ‘Lola (1961),’ she received international recognition. The movie ‘A Man and a Woman’ in 1996 brought Aimée’s most tremendous success. It has won both the Grand Prize of the 1966 Cannes Film Festival and two Oscars, including best foreign-language films. The film has been a worldwide success.

Anouk Aimée has spent her entire life in front of the camera; in the 1980s and 1990s, when other actresses struggled to find roles for “mature” women, she made one film a year, and she continues to do so now in the twenty-first century.

Personal life

Aimée has been married four times in her life; she was first married to Edouard Zimmermann, but the marriage lasted only for a year and ended with a divorce. She married director Nikos Papadakis for a short time (1951–1954), then composer Pierre Barouh (Baruch) from 1966 to 1969, and finally actor Albert Finney from 1970 to 1978 appears to have semi-retired from acting. Aimée also had a relationship with Warren Beatty and Omar Sharif.
