The band hosted after-show parties at the Kensington Roof Gardens — a lush, private rooftop garden perched atop the old Derry & Toms building in the heart of London. The guest list read like a who’s who of fashion and entertainment. Fashion titans Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, and Calvin Klein were among the names that turned up, as were designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel — the duo behind Princess Diana’s iconic wedding dress. British model and pop star Samantha Fox was also there, and she made no secret of how the night felt. “I sang with Freddie Mercury at a party once, and that was fantastic,” Fox later recalled.
