Glamorous Photos of Jean Patchett From her Modeling Career, Queen of Fashion Inc

Jean Patchett was a famous fashion model. She was one of the most recognizable and popular models in American fashion couture. Patchett worked for famous fashion magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Glamour, Charm, Life magazines, and many more. She was also appeared on over 40 magazine covers throughout her fashion career. During the 1940s and 1960s, Patchett became the center of fashion photography and she was often referred to as ‘Queen of Fashion Inc’ by fashion editors. She was the first star model for New York’s Ford Models.

The camera loved Jean and Jean loved the camera.

The October 1950 issue of Vogue Magazine featured her perfectly penciled left eye, pouty red lips, and a trademark natural beauty mark. She was honored along with Suzy Parker and Naomi Sims at the 50 Years of American Women in Fashion ceremony. Patchett died on January 22, 2002, at age 75 from emphysema.
