Barcelona thrived in the 1960s leaving behind the austerity endured in the 1950s. People enjoyed their evenings in the cheapest bars and restaurants. The city was beautiful with a maze of narrow streets to the wide straight boulevards in total contrast. The population also grew rapidly as a large influx of people from different parts of the country migrated to Barcelona. The man dining is the owner of the restaurant Caracolas.
I taught that man’s grandchildren (the owner of Los Caracoles). The restaurant has been there since 1835.
