The 1920s was the beginning of modernization and synchronization in fashion. The collective euphoria of people about fashion ultimately influenced and expanded all over the world after the end of the Great War. The era came to be defined by the emergence of vintage fashion, and as you can see from these fabulous pictures, it still looks awesome after many decades.
The 1920’s Fashion trends were the shorter, low-waist dresses and revealing styles worn by the Flappers, the ‘bobbed’ hairstyles, cloche hats, the casual, haphazard fashion of a mixture of brightly colored clothes, scarves and stockings with bold, striking Art Deco geometric designs of the era. Accessories that lead the 1920’s fashions and trends were rolled down stockings and galoshes, long strands of pearl beads, cigarette holders, headbands and feather boas. Another fashion trend was the flat-chested, boyish ‘garconne’ look and the 1920’s women who wore men’s clothing.
Have a look at these fashion pictures below that show clothing styles and fashion of early 20th century.
