Her eyes were likely painted on. That was a common practice in Victorian era memorial photography as it was difficult to keep the eyes open and they felt it was more “lifelike” to simply close the eyelids and paint eyes on .

Her eyes or some reason look alive, hermouth certainly does not. It gives it away, I don’t know how, but for sure it does. She is HOME NOW WHERE SHE BELONGS.
They used to paint the eyes open onto the actual image to make them look more alive. That’s probably the case here.
