Leonard Nimoy was an actor known for portraying Spock in the Star Trek franchise. He portrayed this role for almost fifty years, from a pilot episode shot in late 1964 to his final film performance in 2013.
In 1954, Nimony married actress Sandra Zober while he was serving in the United States Army Special Services Detachment as a performer for fellow soldiers at Fort McPherson. The couple remained married for 32 years. Throughout their marriage, Sandra and Leonard lived in a house in Westwood, Los Angeles. Nimoy left Sandra on her 56th birthday and divorced her in 1983, and they divorced four years later. The couple had two children Julie and Adam. After that, Sandra Zober joined a support group for women divorced from Hollywood stars that were initially called Life After Divorce Is Eventually Sane (LADIES), but was soon renamed the Hollywood Dumpettes. Sandra died at the age of 1983 in Westwood Los Angeles.
