1970s Wales: Dazzling Color Photographs Capturing Streets Scenes And Everyday Life

The 1970s in Wales started with the shutdown of the Cardiff trolleybus system. The system that once served Cardiff was closed on 11 January 1970. In 1976 the Welsh Development Agency was formed to encourage industry to move to Wales. The Welsh tourist industry also witnessed rapid growth. The population of Wales rose slowly in the 20th century, and at the end of the 1970s, the total of Wales was 2.81 million. Have a look at these stunning photographs capturing streets, markets, roads, houses, railway, and every day of the people of Wales in the 1970s. Glen Fairweather captured these photographs.
