Stunning Photos show how People enjoyed the Snow in the Past

The Snow changes the scenery. The environment is dressed up like a costume party. When everything is covered in Snow, it looks so magical and different. The bright, refreshing sight of Snow lying across the landscape during the dark, gray, dirty winter days is a welcome respite from dark, gray, cloudy winter days. During the driest months of the year, Snow also provides much-needed moisture

Today’s winter recreational activities were initially invented to allow people to travel in Snow so they could accomplish day-to-day tasks necessary for survival. Since motorized modes of transportation replaced skis, snowshoes, and dog sleds, the use of motorized modes of transportation has become less practical. They are still popular today but primarily used for fun and competition. The winter sports that people enjoy today tell a story about how northern lifestyles and technologies evolved over time and how people lived in the Past.
