People with their Packard Automobiles from the Past

Packard was an American luxury automobile marque manufactured by the Packard Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan, United States. Packard automobiles were first built in 1899, and the last car built in Detroit was the Packard Predictor, their latest concept car. It was the preeminent luxury car manufacturer before World War II, and it built aircraft engines for the Allied war effort. The Packard was once a prestigious automobile, and surviving examples can be found in museums, car shows, and automobile collections.

Studebaker and Packard merged in 1953 to form Studebaker-Packard Corporation. The 1957 and 1958 Packards were badge-engineered Studebakers made in South Bend.
