Lincoln Continental Mark V: One of the Luxury Coupe by Ford Motor Launched in 1977

Continental Mark V, marketed by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company from 1977 to 1979, was a small personal luxury coupe. The Mark V was the fourth generation of the Continental Mark series and offered extensive exterior and interior updates. With 228,262 examples produced during its three-year lifespan, the Mark V was the best-selling generation of the Mark series.

Mark V is Ford’s largest two-door coupe, at 230 inches long, and Lincoln Continental sedans (produced alongside it) are Ford’s most extended vehicles, at 233 inches long. The bold exterior design of the Mark V was adapted onto Lincoln vehicles throughout the 1980s. Continental replaced the Mark V with the Mark VI in 1980 and a downsized Mark series to reduce fuel consumption. Continental Mark Vs. were assembled at the now-closed Wixom Assembly Plant in Wixom, Michigan, alongside Lincoln Continentals.
