In 1957, American photographer Sam Shaw took these beautiful images of Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller eating hot dogs from a street stand in New York.
These photographs, which were taken over the course of three days in New York with Marilyn’s husband Arthur Miller, are deeply tragic because they were taken just a month after Marilyn’s loss. She’s beautiful, youthful, healthy, and full of hope and love in every photo; the images with Miller are lovely and compassionate, and you can feel his devotion for her and all the comfort he provided her at that moment in their relationship.
