These stunning photographs illustrate the atmosphere, culture, life, fashion, social mores of Italy in the 1980s. Photographer, Charles H. Traub captivated these brilliant moments in his camera, when he first traveled to Italy and witnessed the iconic street life Italians call ‘La Dolce Vita.’
During the 1980s Traub visited various parts of Italy for 2 to 3 weeks at a time, documenting the intriguing lifestyle he called La Dolce Via (the Sweet Way). The freedom, slow pace, and diversity were the trademarks of the time which is now witnessed mainly in photos. The repeating patterns in the composition of these photos are very special and make one wonder if he is the luckiest man or the most patient man or he has an amazing eye for capturing the moment
Love these photos, absolutely amazing and the colors are so vibrant. Lots of affection, children, Vespas, cobblestones and fountains.
