1950s Spain: 50+ Fabulous Photos Capturing Cities, Streets And Everyday Life

In the mid-20th century, Spain was under the dictatorship of Francisco Franko. Political parties and labor unions were banned, and all political activities were forbidden. Spain mostly remained neutral in World War II and isolated from outside the world. However, things started changing when Spain admitted the Un in 1955 and the World Bank in 1958. The Stabilization Plan represented in 1959 to liberalize and internationalize the Spanish economy. Trade restrictions and government control over prices were lifted. These colorized photographs show cities, towns, streets, landmarks, and everyday life of Spain in the 1950s. Also check, how Spain looked like in the late 19th century.
